I grew up in Washington D.C. and P.G. County listening to GoGo ever since I was a 13 year old teenager, I'm talking about back in the day when you could get into a GoGo for 5 dollars and see up to 5 or 6 bands. Remember those days? Back then it was called a Band & Show, and would last up until 5 o'clock in the morning at some places. For anyone that doesn't know why it was called Band and Show, that's because the bands back in the day used to give a real show, with well organized and in sync steps. It was awesome!
Before we show off our collection of Tapes and CD's, we would like to give a shot out to all the neighborhoods and GoGo spots back in the day. Shot's going out to 14th and Quincy N.W., Southview, Ft. Washington & The Friendly Annex Crew, Condon Terrace, Oxon Hill, Highland, Linda Pollen, Whaler Place, Hillcrest and Iverson Mall, Suitland, Galveston St., Barry Farms, Valley Green, Forest Heights, Maryland Gardens, Nova Ave. & Capital Heights, Garfield Terrace, Palmer Park, Glass Manor, Indian Queen, MLK Ave, Anacostia, Fairfax Village, East Gate, Trinidad, Benning Rd, Washington Heights, Forest Creek & Evans Grill, Crystal Skate, Triples, Paragon 2, Largo, Kennilworth, Bladensburg, Hyattsville, Geogia Ave., (to be continued)..........
